Touchstone strengthens its analysis and project teams

Touchstone Research has made five recent appointments: Patricia Lopez and Michelle Richard as Principal Qualitative Analysts, Jack Keelan and Erik Erwin as Principal Project Managers, and Michael Kozloski as Principal Quantitative Analyst.

The appointments continue a race that has added sixteen people to the company over the past twelve months.

Touchstone is a full-service MR company based in Branford, Connecticut, with teams in Los Angeles, Austin, Denver, Florida, Chicago, North Carolina, Michigan, New Jersey, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Services include custom research and management of exclusive online panels and communities, in sectors such as youth and family, media and entertainment, and technology research.

Lopez brings over fifteen years of experience in a wide range of industries. She has facilitated hundreds of focus groups with general market and Hispanic consumers at all levels of acculturation, and also has extensive experience in methods such as ethnographic research, companion shopping, dialing, biometrics, online groups and community boards, and one-on-one interviews. She comes from Focus Room/Fuel where she was a qualitative manager specializing in cultural knowledge; and worked earlier at PRS Invivo as research director and moderator.

Richard will focus on the same sectors, brings over 25 years of research experience including consumer voice, advertising and communication optimization, concept and positioning development, products and packages, new product development/pipeline generation and UX research. An expert quality moderator with an energetic moderating style, she has moderated hundreds of sessions and groups since 2007. She comes from North American Cryobank where she led the marketing department, and previously worked as a senior Qual consultant and moderator at Ipsos Understanding Unlimited, and as Product Researcher in the R&D team of Procter & Gamble.

Keelan previously worked at Radio Flyer as a design researcher working end-to-end on projects including a variety of children’s toys as well as electric bikes/scooters for adults. He holds a BS in Product Design from Stanford University where he also broke the 4-minute mile record.

Erwin is an anthropologist with over ten years of experience uncovering insights into consumer culture across industries; and previously worked in Iraq conducting sociocultural field research for the US military, seeking to help decision makers better understand the local culture and interact more effectively with the local population. He holds a master’s degree in anthropology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Kozloski has sixteen years of experience in consumer research, primarily in the grocery, housewares and electronics industries. He spent thirteen years as a quantitative specialist and senior data analyst for a small company, helping to integrate more robust and advanced statistical analyzes into the MR process; and has also worked for one of the largest social science research organizations in the United States as a research scientist and, more recently, as a senior survey research analyst for a major nursing and nursing institution. health professions. He holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Chicago, where he also completed his postdoctoral training in behavioral endocrinology; and a master’s degree in statistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
